Jebel Musa stands tall and reaches an elevation of 7498 feet (2286 m). Jebel Musa is the Arabic name for "the mountain of Moses." It's a long climb with 3700 steps that were carved by a monk called the steps of repentance. Up there on the summit, there's a church and Moses cave where he got to spend 40 days and received the ten commandments. On the way down you will get to see the "Spring of Elijah" where the prophet was alleged to have hid when running from Jezebel.
