The Step Pyramid over at Saqqara's is a huge funeral complex site, the most famous cluster of tombs exist in that area known for its necropolis that served ancient Egypt, at the time when the capital was Memphis during the pharaonic period. Saqqara area preserves the first pyramid of King Djozer which the step pyramid was built by his famous architect Imhotep for his family and dynasty. It is also called the Mastabas pyramids. Saqqara covers an area of 1.5 km. This area owns up to many tombs and pyramids on a spread horizon of several kilometers as Dahshur pryamid, and others around Giza. Originally the name Saqqara was not derived from the ancient Egyptian funerary god who was called Sokar, but from the Beni Saqqar who were the local Berber tribe in which their name simply meant "Sons of Saqqar."
